Designed
by Donald Steel and host to the Cheshire & Lancashire PGA Strokeplay Championship, Shrigley Hall is set in 250
acres of spectacular Cheshire countryside. The feature hole on the front
nine is the par 3 160 yards, 8th hole. It has water waiting on three
sides and the green is set against the backdrop of forest pines. On the
back nine, the feature hole is undoubtedly the testing 18th - a sweeping
dog-leg, par 5. Bordering the Oakridge Woodland, which is home to a family
of deer, the green is situated treacherously near to the hotel's carp lake. |
The 4* Shrigley Hall Hotel,
Golf & Country Club is set in over 260 acres of beautiful Cheshire
countryside, with spectacular views overlooking the Cheshire Plain. This impressive
19th Century country mansion sits high above the estate on the edge of the Peak
District National Park. Shrigley Hall opened as a hotel in 1989 and has been
carefully restored to its original beauty.
The hotel offers 150 en-suite
luxury bedrooms including executive rooms, suites and 9 splendid four-poster
